New Suzumiya Haruhi trailer streamed

Bandai Namco Games began streaming Thursday a teaser promo video for an upcoming Suzumiya Haruhi PS3 game.

Called The Reminiscence of Suzumiya Haruhi, the game will take place after the 2010 Disappearance of Suzumiya Haruhi movie, and the film’s production committee oversaw the game’s story.

Players take on the role of Kyon, who returns to the Kita High School Festival in a world where the S.O.S. Brigade does not exist.

The game is due out March 24. A PSP version is also planned.

Also, rumor has it the Haruhi movie will release in Japan Dec. 18. The closest confirmation of this is a listing on CD Japan’s website: (The Disappearance of Suzumiya Haruhi)

Ladies vs. Butlers unmentionables on sale

Selnia Iori Flameheart from Ladies vs. Butlers.

In yet another nod to Japanese otaku oddness, online otaku shop Brainpolice will be offering panties based on the light novel series Ladies vs. Butlers.

Retailing for around $30 (3,150 yen) for the set, the panties are included with a commemorative telephone card and are a silk replica of those worn by character Selnia Iori Flameheart.

Mardock Scramble anime deature details minimal

Few details for the upcoming anime feature Mardock Scramble have been released so far, but some things like a few character designs have been added to the official website.

Mardock Scramble was originally slated as a highly anticipated anime series to be produced by Gonzo, but was cancelled in 2006. The story revolved around Rune Ballot in a futuristic city with a secret organization involved with mind-control.

The movie is based on a light novel series of the same name.

A trailer has been posted for The Disappearance of Suzumiya Haruhi by the movie’s official web site.

The film will adapt the fourth volume of the light novel series abouta wacky high school girl who can change reality.

JG Suzumiya HaruhiThe final episode of the latest rebroadcast of Suzumiya Haruhi announced a new movie is in the works.

Call the Disappearance of Suzumiya Haruhi, the film is set to his Japanese theaters in the spring. The movie will adapt the story from the fourth light novel in the series.

Second Spice and Wolf DS game announced

JG WolfThe light novel adapted into anime series Spice and Wolf will be getting a second DS game, Spice and Wolf: The Wind That Spans the Sea on Sept. 17.

The first game (Spice and Wolf: Year One), just released on June 26, is both a dating and business simulation, and the latest game will follow the visual novel style.
