Earthquakes, tsunami hit Japan

Earthquakes and their resulting tsunamis have left more than 350 people dead and much destruction in many parts of the Japan NHK reports Friday.

Tokyo residents reported to J Geeks feeling tremors throughout the day Friday. One resident, Miki, said it was like riding on a boat. Trains all over the city are down, and many Japanese workers are stuck in their office buildings.

Even in Osaka, residents there said they could feel the devastation.

United States President Barack Obama extended his sympathy to the Japanese people, and offered whatever assistance from the U.S. the Japanese might need.
