Sci-Fi network will start airing the second season of Gundam 00 in its listings as of June 29. The network has yet to release listings past June, as July is slated for the relaunch of the network as Syfy, to the consternation of many fans. In fact, programs like Gundam 00 are part of what the network envisions as its new, more diverse selection of programing.
The first season of Gundam 00 premiered on Sci-Fi last November, and this season’s domestic release is a remarkable turn-around, as the second season’s run in Japan only ended on March 29.
The latest Gundam, which takes place in a new timeline from previous series and is more similar to our own timeline, revolves in a world where fossil fuels have run low and solar energy is key.
