Fans of Azumanga Daioh! certainly have reason to rejoice. The quirky manga by Azuma Kiyohiko announced recently that he will be drawing new 16-page additions to the 10th anniversary editions of the manga in Japan, with the new pages to first debut in Monthly Shonen Sunday.
Azumanga Daioh is a manga that features a series of vignettes about over-the-top high school teachers and students. The presentation is very similar to newspaper comics in the U.S., with 4-panel stories. Azuma is also the author of Yotsubato, a quirky manga about a young green-haired foreign girl in Japan and the very mundane, very hilarious high-jinks she gets herself into.
